Story The Valerian Isles, jewels of the Obero Sea. The inhabitants of these islands, long important centers of maritime trade, have always fought for control of their coasts.
The conflict was ended by a man named Dorgalua Oberyth, who went down in history as the "Dynast-King." King Dorgalua worked to dispel hatred among the island peoples, and for half a century, Valeria prospered.
Upon the king's death, civil war broke out again among three factions vying for control: the Bakram, who included much of Valeria's nobility; the Galgastani, made up of much of the island's population; and the Walister, small in number.
The islands were soon divided between Bakram and Galgastani, and a precarious peace was established. No one hoped for lasting calm...
