The SUNLU AMS Heater is an upgrade for Bambu Lab’s first-generation AMS, replacing the top cover to allow for simultaneous filament drying and printing. It heats quickly and evenly to 70°C in 20 minutes, actively controlling humidity and temperature to improve print quality and save time and space.

Simultaneous Drying and Printing
By replacing the standard AMS cover, the AMS heater enables active filament drying during printing, eliminating the need for an external dryer and reducing humidity-related print defects.
Rapid and Even Heating
The PTC heater achieves a consistent 70°C in approximately 20 minutes, thanks to a dual airflow system that prevents hot spots and warping.
Intelligent Humidity Control
Equipped with humidity monitoring, the unit automatically sets to 55°C in RH mode and runs for six hours. It reactivates automatically when humidity exceeds 50% and switches off below 20%. Users can also set a target humidity between 25–50%.
Compact and Space-Saving Upgrade
The AMS heater fits seamlessly into the AMS with a simple "loosen-replace-tighten" installation process taking only about two minutes. It supports up to 16 stacked spools, maintaining a compact footprint.
Integrated Safety Features
Combining PTC heating, a thermostatic switch that trips if the temperature exceeds 115°C, and real-time software control of the fan and heat, the system ensures safe and reliable operation.
Why it matters
This upgrade saves time and space by enabling drying directly within the AMS. It minimizes humidity-related printing issues and is significantly more cost-effective than Bambu Lab's AMS 2 Pro, making it an attractive aftermarket alternative.
