Spectrum Premium PET-G Filament
High transparency and chemical resistance
Spectrum PET-G Premium is the second most popular material for desktop 3D printing. A major advantage provided by Spectrum PET-G Premium is its practically zero shrinkage rate and low moisture absorption compared to other thermoplastics used for FDM/FFF 3D printing. Items made with PET-G maintain stable properties for a long lifespan. Spectrum PET-G Premium combines the advantages of PLA and ABS. It also provides almost trouble-free printing and exceptional layer adhesion.
Items printed using transparent Spectrum PET-G Premium colors have a high crystalline phase content, which allows for a nearly transparent effect on a small number of outer perimeters of items made with additive techniques. The pellets and pigments used in the production of Spectrum PET-G Premium are approved for food contact.
Regarding other properties of Spectrum PET-G Premium, note its good creep resistance under constant load conditions. This stems from the excellent cohesion between the layers of the applied material. This results in much lower mechanical anisotropy in printed items, meaning that for each production direction, the mechanical properties differ less than with other thermoplastics designed for 3D printing.
Key features:
- high transparency compared to other materials for additive manufacturing
- excellent mechanical properties regarding stiffness, hardness, and impact resistance
- HDT temperature resistance - 69°C
- Vicat softening temperature - 78°C
- chemical resistance
- high dimensional accuracy
- combines the advantages of PLA and ABS
- exceptional layer adhesion
- odorless printing
Applications:
- visual and functional prototyping
- fit testing
- conceptual models
- manufacturing aids
- production of translucent housings and backlit sections of various panels and signs
The excellent mechanical properties of Spectrum PET-G Premium, combined with its chemical resistance, determine the application of this material for the production of items with relatively high dimensional accuracy and stability of both shapes and mechanical properties. Consequently, these are primarily gears and plain bearings subjected to relatively high static loads in an aqueous environment. PET-G is also used to produce translucent housings and backlit sections of various panels and signs.
Packaging
The filament is wound on a neat, transparent spool. Each spool contains information about the material type, diameter, and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum-packed with a moisture absorber. The entire product is packaged in the original, film-coated Spectrum Filaments packaging.
