The world's most famous blue hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog, will hit the track once again in Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, a game full of adventure, speed, and exploration animated by the explosive mix of two brand-new elements, fire and ice. The game also sees the triumphant return of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Sticks.
Developed by Sanzaru Games Inc., Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice is a single-player game with cooperative components that includes the key characters, events, and atmospheres of the Sonic Boom universe. Players will see Sonic and his friends embark on a new adventure against Dr. Eggman and a new, incredible enemy, D-Fekt: they will find themselves in both familiar environments and new territories, while they are busy exploring, racing, and protecting their world.
To create a completely new experience, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice adds the elements of fire and ice to the gameplay, which guarantee special moves and new interactions with the environments. The gameplay of this new title allows players to dash through the game at maximum speed, or to leisurely dedicate themselves to in-depth exploration and puzzle solving.
A novelty of this title is the introduction of Bot Racing, an additional game linked to the single-player story, but with a multiplayer game mode. The new Bot Racing feature is an extension of Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice exclusively focused on high-speed races, where players can unlock character-based Bots to challenge friends on lightning-fast tracks and courses.
