Sika® Primer-209 D is a black, moisture-curing, solvent-based primer, which reacts with moisture and forms a thin layer. This layer acts as a link between substrates and adhesives. Sika® Primer-209 D is specifically formulated for the treatment of bond faces prior to the application of Sika one-component polyurethanes. This primer might provide excellent adhesion without prior activation steps on certain plastic substrates.
Sika® Primer-209 D is used to improve adhesion on many plastics and painted surfaces such as GRP, epoxy resins, PVC, ABS, PMMA, PC, PS, and acrylics, alkyd/melamine, powder coatings, and oven-baked enamels. Due to the wide variety of plastic materials, it is mandatory to perform preliminary tests on original substrates under production conditions.
