Prima SELECT NylonPower PA 6/66 – Buy PA6/66 3D Printer Filament
NylonPower PA 6/66 by PrimaCreator is a special copolyamide 3D printer filament blend that takes full advantage of the strengths of both PA 6 and PA66. The combination of these two polyamide types makes our nylon very easy to 3D print. Normally, nylon (PA) is very difficult to 3D print. With regular nylon 3D printer filaments, you will struggle to get them to adhere to the build plate. With NylonPower, you can use lower 3D printing temperatures than you would normally with Nylon. Use this material in most common FFF/FDM 3D printers.
Key material properties of NylonPower PA6/66:
Perfect blend of PA6 and PA66
High chemical and heat resistance
Less warping than normal nylon makes 3D printing easier
Excellent layer adhesion creates strong 3D printed parts
How to best 3D print nylon filament
When 3D printing with nylon, you need to do it on a heated print bed. For best adhesion, we recommend using Magigoo PA. The temperature should be set to 60-80°C.
Nylon PA6/66 a powerful 3D printing filament
Nylon has strong mechanical resistance and less deformation. It is difficult to chip or break. In addition, nylon is also one of the best materials in terms of impact resistance.
Special properties of nylon material and tips for processing it
Nylon is very hygroscopic. This means that it absorbs liquids, which could be an advantage if you want to dye your filament. It also means that it is important to dry the nylon before use. You can set the oven to 70-80°C and leave it there for 4-8 hours. The longer you leave it, the drier it will be. This will also be reflected in the final print result, both visually and in terms of performance.
