Pokémon X and Pokémon Y open the doors to the sixth generation of Pokémon, bringing to life the brand new Kalos region, introducing two new legendary Pokémon, as well as new graphics, new battle modes and much more.

The many new features introduced by the two titles do not affect the well-established gameplay mechanics that fans of the series are so fond of. In the early stages of the game, the player must choose one of the three new starter Pokémon, Chespin (Grass type), Fennekin (Fire type) and Froakie (Water type) and then pair it with one of the classic starter Pokémon from Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle. the player, as a Pokémon Trainer, will have to fight and recruit an army of Pokémon in order to complete the Pokédex and become the strongest Trainer in the entire region, defeating the other Trainers of the Pokémon League and subsequently the various Gym Leaders.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y also see the introduction of new enemies, the members of Team Flare. It will be the player's task to understand their shady intentions and do everything to stop them.

The classic two-dimensional graphics with a top-down view that characterized Pokémon titles for over 10 years gives way to a new graphics sector that fully exploits the potential of the Nintendo 3DS console. The three-dimensional models and the attention to detail of the two new titles make the graphics a real spectacle for the eyes!

Mega Evolutions are one of the most revolutionary new features in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. When the Mega Ring (a special bracelet worn by the Trainer) and the Mega Stone possessed by the Pokémon synchronize, Mega Evolution can begin. A Mega Evolved Pokémon will be able to draw on much greater power, capable of turning the tide of a battle in an instant!

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y also introduce two newly discovered legendary Pokémon: Xerneas and Yveltal! A thick mystery

surrounds the two Pokémon. Their importance in the journey will be revealed to the player in due course!
In addition to the two new legendary Pokémon, many new sixth-generation Pokémon are added to the already known ones.

There are many other new features introduced by Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Here are some of the most exciting:

• Super Training: in addition to battling, Pokémon can gain experience and strength with this special training and its challenging trials;

• PSS (Player Search System): the PSS allows you to find other Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players. It allows you to connect with players in the area or around the world via the Internet. It is also possible to communicate with players you don't know.

• Poké Amie: this function allows you to improve your bond with your Pokémon, just as if they were puppies. By giving them treats and petting them via the touch screen, the Pokémon will become affectionate and improve its battle skills.

• New battle types: the games offer two new battle types, including Sky Battles, in which only flying Pokémon can participate.

• Photo spots: the new Kalos region is so beautiful (also thanks to the renewed graphics) that it would be a crime not to be able to take photos!

• New Pokémon type: Pokémon X and Pokémon Y introduce the new Fairy type Pokémon, all to discover!
