Coconut oil is very nourishing and significantly reduces skin dehydration: it is used to treat dry and damaged, chapped or rough skin, and when applied to sunburned skin it soothes redness and burning, thanks to its calming action. Coconut oil is used in body oils and balms, in the creation of exfoliating and nourishing scrubs, in tanning or after-sun oils, and is essential for making homemade soap: in the latter case, it is included in the soap formulation at 20-25% of the total fats used.
How to use Apply to the skin all over the body and massage in until absorbed. Alternatively, diffuse it into the air with an essential oil diffuser.
