The Mingda MD-400D stands out for its superior print quality and exceptional productivity, achieved through its IDEX (Independent Dual Extruder) design and high-speed architecture.
Efficiency is quintupled compared to traditional printers, reaching a maximum speed of 500 mm/s and an acceleration of up to 10000 mm/s2, allowing large models (like a helmet) to be completed in just 34 hours instead of 4 days.
The IDEX system not only ensures double productivity with Duplicate and Mirror modes but also allows for greater creative freedom (Dual-Color) and printing of complex geometries (Support) through the use of soluble materials and automatic retraction of the inactive extruder to prevent smudging.
Structural precision is guaranteed by the fully enclosed metal chamber and modular guides, which maintain a constant temperature and ensure accuracy up to ±0,1 mm. Detail quality is further enhanced by automatic vibration reduction (anti-ghosting), precise flow control to eliminate extrusion defects, and automatic bed leveling, which also supports finer layer resolution.
Finally, the flexible PEI platform ensures strong adhesion of advanced materials and allows for quick and effortless removal of finished parts, preventing warping and simplifying the user experience.

Finally, the machine has a powerful dual cooling system with an aerodynamic air duct design that guarantees rapid and complete cooling of each layer at high speeds. This provides exceptional forming accuracy and reduces the risks of shrinkage and deformation.

Materials
The Mingda MD-400D is equipped with a dual-gear direct drive extruder which gives it a unique ability to handle flexible filaments. What’s more, the machine is designed to accommodate both high-temperature and common hotends. The maximum temperature of the base hotend can reach 250 °C, supporting popular materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, and others.

Thanks to the all-metal hotend and hardened steel nozzle capable of reaching 350 °C, the MD-400D can reliably print with a wide range of engineering and composite filaments, including PET carbon fiber, PET glass fiber, Nylon carbon fiber, Nylon glass fiber, and more, ensuring high dimensional accuracy and surface quality of printed parts. There is no need to replace the hotend when switching between different types of materials. Moreover, the IDEX structure allows multi-color and multi-material printing with support filaments, such as S-Multi, S-HtPA, PVA, etc.

Additionally, the MD-400D features a rapidly heated aluminum alloy platform with a maximum temperature of 110 °C. Heated evenly and capable of reaching 60 °C in about 75 seconds, it ensures strong first-layer adhesion and overall print quality. The heating speed remains unchanged at 220V and 110V.

Build Volume
The Mingda MD-400D 3D printer offers a large build area of 15.8 x 15.8 x 15.8 inches (400 x 400 x 400 mm) in free printing mode. Unlike other IDEX 3D printers, it also provides substantial workspace in Duplicate and Mirror modes (400 x 400 x 400 mm and 320 x 400 x 400 mm respectively). This volume allows for the production of models of various sizes, including quite large ones, without the need to divide them and in batches, which saves time and increases performance.

Printer controls and software
The Mingda MD-400D is designed with a 7" high-definition IPS computer screen with an intuitive and well-organized user interface available in several languages. Unlike traditional LCD screens, it presents bright, saturated, and high-quality images from any angle. Additionally, it is more environmentally friendly and energy-saving.

The device supports SD, U-disk, and Type-C connectivity. After being connected via Wi-Fi or network cable, the MD-400D can be controlled and monitored remotely in real-time. At the same time, it supports multi-machine control, which greatly facilitates and accelerates mass production.

To ensure smooth and trouble-free operation, the machine performs self-checks when powered on. It automatically checks the status of the extruder, print bed, camera, leveling, fan, and other components. In case of anomalies, a prompt will be displayed on the printer screen for quick and convenient processing.

The Mingda MD-400D offers broad software flexibility, being compatible with leading slicers such as OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer. Its strong point is the use of Mingda Cura, an optimized fork that guarantees a simplified experience thanks to an intuitive user interface and pre-tested presets for all compatible materials. Mingda Cura excels in its speed and precision, including an Expert UI mode for advanced parameter control and an integrated estimation engine that provides accurate predictions of print times and material consumption, essential for planning and maximum industrial productivity.
