LEGO The Hobbit will be based on the first two films of The Hobbit Trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
Following the storyline of the first two films, LEGO The Hobbit will lead players on a journey through Middle-earth, joining Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey, Thorin Oakenshield and Company on their exciting adventures to the dwarven kingdom of Erebor.
In LEGO The Hobbit, children and their families can play as their favorite characters from The Hobbit, including Bilbo, Gandalf and all the dwarves: Thorin, Fíli, Kíli, Óin, Glóin, Dwalin, Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori and Ori. Each also has their own fun ability: Bombur, for example, can be used as a trampoline to launch his companions away from danger!
Players will visit key locations from the films, including Bag End, Bilbo's home in Hobbiton, travel through the dangerous High Pass on the way to the Misty Mountains, and explore the depths of Goblin-town, Mirkwood and Rivendell. In addition, players will have to solve countless puzzles, participate in treasure hunts and battles with orcs, trolls and other disgusting creatures. They can also dig for gems, recover loot from enemies, and craft powerful magical items or build new and immense LEGO structures.
