Small, eager helpers
Captain Olimar, intrepid space explorer, must collect a whopping 30,000 units of Sparklium to repair his trusty spaceship, but he can't do it alone. Luckily, the brave little Pikmin are eager to lend a hand!
No mission is impossible for these wonderful creatures. Tap the touch screen in the direction you want to throw them – don't worry, they won't mind! – and your new, colorful friends will get to work! The action takes place on both the top screen and the touch screen; enemies and the fascinating game world will seem enormous!
Meet the Pikmin
Each type of Pikmin has particular strengths and weaknesses. Some Pikmin can swim, others are immune to fire, and some can even fly! If you want to win the game, you'll need to think quickly and choose the right Pikmin for the task at hand!
* Red Pikmin: Red Pikmin are very good when it comes to brute force. And they are resistant to fire.
* Blue Pikmin: Blue Pikmin love to get wet. They can swim and breathe underwater.
* Yellow Pikmin: These yellow guys like electricity. They can be thrown higher than other Pikmin.
* Rock Pikmin: Rock Pikmin have a tough shell and cannot be crushed. Throw them when you want to break something.
* Winged Pikmin: These delightful little creatures can fly. And they can lift obstacles blocking your path.
Life in the Park
Every Pikmin you successfully guide to the end of a level will be sent to Pikmin Park, where they can search for more Sparklium and hidden treasures! The more types of Pikmin you bring to the park, the more treasures your collection of cute helpers will discover. Put them to work and see!
