Grand Theft Auto V is the latest installment in the famous Grand Theft Auto series, an urban-set, "sandbox" action game developed by Rockstar Games.
The geographical setting of the fifth installment is Los Santos (today's Los Angeles), which includes the vast area of Vinewood (essentially Hollywood).
The new installment was created with the specific aim of offering players more variety, greater dynamism, and even more speed in its gameplay execution, avoiding the dead time in the narrative of previous installments.
There are three protagonists, whose stories intertwine in real-time and provide great depth:
- Michael, the game's Tommy Vercetti, a middle-aged man, a true veteran of bank robberies. He's an expert and a point of reference for all aspiring new robbers, owing his fame to a long career filled with great criminal successes.
- Franklin, a young and ambitious black man who shares more than a few similarities with the beloved CJ from San Andreas. Franklin is a sort of debt collector for a not-so-clean Armenian luxury car dealership, trying to convince young, aspiring workers to buy exotic cars they can't really afford.
- Trevor, a psychopath with an often violent and highly destructive nature, who regularly uses all types of drugs.
