EA SPORTS VOLTA brings the game back to the streets with the true culture, creativity, and style of small-sided matches. Create your character and play in your style in various scenarios around the world.
VOLTA Gameplay: Express your style with a completely new gameplay system focused on realism. Inspired by small-sided football played in streets, cages, and 5-a-side pitches worldwide; VOLTA gameplay offers new tools to immerse you in the reality of street football, including simplified touches and skill moves, new animations, and even the ability to play off the walls.
Player: VOLTA mode allows you to customize your player in many aspects, from clothes to hairstyle, tattoos, and celebration emotes during the game. Create your male or female character and take to the field in one of the many game types available in VOLTA mode.
Apparel: Show off your style in VOLTA mode by choosing the latest items for your player, from jerseys to shoes, hoodies, various types of tattoos, and hairstyles. Unlock additional items by completing challenges in VOLTA mode.
Locations: VOLTA mode brings to life football pitches scattered around the world. From an underpass in Amsterdam, to a cage on the outskirts of London, to the rooftops of Tokyo, VOLTA mode offers you the chance to experience football in various parts of the world.
Match Types: Customization is the keyword at the base of VOLTA mode. Play 3-on-3 challenges without goalkeepers, 4-on-4, 4-on-4 without goalkeepers, 5-on-5, and matches with official 5-a-side football rules. In addition, VOLTA mode offers arenas and environments of different sizes, with or without walls, to enjoy the beautiful game as you prefer.

Gameplay
Real Actions: Awareness of time, space, and position are fundamental qualities for a world-class footballer. Thanks to Real Actions, every AI-controlled player will act taking these components into account, creating a scenario that offers more time and space and places greater emphasis on user-controlled play.
Dynamic One-on-Ones: Revised game actions, based on the rhythms held in the main leagues worldwide, allow for more realistic spaces and speeds, leading to more one-on-one opportunities and placing greater emphasis on user-controlled Decisive Moments.
AI-Managed Defense: Revised positioning and tackling system allow AI-controlled teammates to react better to the user-controlled player. The AI will offer smarter defensive support, rewarding and benefiting manual defense at the same time.
Natural Player Movements: Innovations introduced in mobility and positioning allow AI-controlled players to move more fluidly and composedly, resulting in realistic movements for everyone on the field.
Decisive Moments: Football is made up of a series of crucial moments that determine the outcome of a match. From Controlled Finishing in the final third, to Controlled Tackles in defense, matches will now be won or lost in
user-managed Decisive Moments.
Strafe Dribbling: The new strafe dribbling mechanic adds an additional attacking option, giving the ability to move with greater agility to draw in your opponent and then beat them with speed or dribbling.
Controlled Tackles: Using the Active Touch System, user-controlled defense will be at an advantage, with a series of new tackling animations. The cleaner the tackle, the greater the chances that players will win the ball.
Set Piece Refresh: An update to the system that provides more specific options for first-touch free kicks and penalty kicks, with the introduction of skill-based kicking mechanics, with even more rewarding results.
Controlled Finishing: Revised shooting fundamentals will allow for more precise and effective shots on goal. This creates a more realistic shooting experience, rewarding better finishes and presenting risks and rewards in more complicated situations, such as volleys from crosses.
Ball Physics: The ball is the most important dynamic element of a match. The system that manages ball physics introduces a new level of realism into gameplay, offering new trajectories for shots, more realistic tackles, and behaviors that obey the laws of physics.
