The "Braking Point" story mode returns in F1® 23 with a new and exciting chapter, full of more racing and new rivalries.

Konnersport Butler F1 Racing Team
The story focuses on the Konnersport Butler F1® Racing Team, the new fictional team on the grid, and covers the 2022 and 2023 F1® seasons. Rising star Aiden Jackson clashes with his audacious and arrogant teammate Devon Butler. When one of their futures is threatened by a personal issue, Callie Mayer, Devon's sister and a recent F2® champion, enters the fray. To bring Callie's story to life, the narrative team consulted British driver Jamie Chadwick and SkySports F1® correspondent Natalie Pinkham. Team principal Casper Akkerman must navigate the team's dynamics with family matters, and the manipulations of Devon and Callie's father (and the team's primary sponsor, Davidoff Butler). As your perspective shifts from one character to another, the story progresses driven by your choices through gameplay and cinematic cutscenes.

F1® World is the new hub where you'll find a series of daily, weekly, and seasonal events and content, with a Technical Level-based progression system for a personalized tour of Formula 1®.

New Events
Complete new challenges and access competitive single-player races designed to guide you through the modes, tracks, and experiences of F1® 23. Dominate different tracks, improve your driving skills, explore F2® content, participate in events with your supercar, and more. Both single-player and multiplayer events include various daily, weekly, and seasonal events for solo players and multiplayer enthusiasts alike. From multiplayer Grand Prix races to race week celebrations and Time Trial challenges, there's always something for everyone, every day of the week.

Technical Level
Upgrade your F1® World car throughout the season with a new progression system based on Technical Level. Complete challenges, compete online, and participate in updated events throughout the season to earn upgrades through gameplay and increase your Technical Level, which represents the performance of your F1® World car. As your Technical Level increases, your car's performance will improve, and you'll have the opportunity to compete in more challenging events. You can always access events above your Technical Level, but the challenge will naturally be greater. The best players will be able to push beyond the limits allowed by their car's Technical Level, but only to a certain extent.

Upgrades
Earn upgrades and experiment in the garage to customize and develop your F1® World car, making it faster and more powerful as you progress. F1® World upgrades are divided into two categories: parts and team member upgrades. Parts improve your car's performance. Team members can be upgraded through a contract system to obtain extra "equippable" items that further enhance performance.

Crafting
A new crafting system in F1® World allows you to allocate resources to projects to craft various upgrades, as well as produce equippable contracts to receive gameplay modifiers, new stickers to collect and add to the Compendium, and more.

Licensing System
A new licensing system promotes clean racing in F1® World and rewards players who drive respectfully.

Revamped Ranked Multiplayer
F1® World introduces revamped Ranked Multiplayer with a new division-based ranking system, F1® Esports Series, and a new objective system that makes Podium Pass progression more efficient. Play to earn points, climb from Bronze to Elite with weekly promotions, and win rewards and upgrades to apply to your Technical Level.

Compendium
As you complete challenges on your F1® World journey, you can recall your progress with the new Compendium, a virtual sticker album celebrating everything past and present about Formula 1®. Play, earn stickers, affix them in the Compendium, and complete images to earn new prizes and rewards.

New Handling Model, Better Racing

For more predictable on-track behavior, new vehicle physics give F1® cars improved traction when braking, accelerating, and cornering. Feedback from a real F1® team has been incorporated into the balance adjustments for aerodynamic grip and tire grip, leading to a more realistic feel and smoother handling. With improved engine torque and inertia changes, throttle response is more realistic and easier to adjust.

Precision Drive™ Controller Technology
Race at the limit with greater control, precision, and dexterity thanks to a re-written controller handling system that offers more headroom and accuracy in crucial moments.

Red Flags
The new Red Flag feature adds a strategic element to F1® 23 race days.

35% Race Length
The new 35% Race Length option allows for realistic race strategy and setups where tire wear remains a key factor without dedicating too much time to each race.

New Las Vegas and Qatar Grand Prix
Test your skills in the new Formula 1® destinations, with the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix and Qatar Grand Prix faithfully recreated in F1® 23. Speed along the fast Las Vegas street circuit under its characteristic lights and race on the Lusail International Circuit just kilometers from the city of Doha.
