DRAGON QUEST, one of Japan's most iconic role-playing game series, will arrive later this year as a full-scale action RPG. In DRAGON QUEST HEROES: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below, protagonists must overcome seemingly insurmountable odds, facing swarms of enemies and giant monsters in exhilarating action gameplay.

Full of characters and monsters designed by world-renowned artist Akira Toriyama, DRAGON QUEST HEROES: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below will be available on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system with stunning HD graphics.

Story

When a dark shockwave sweeps across the city of Arba, monsters that once lived peacefully alongside people are driven into a frenzied rage. As hero Luceus or heroine Aurora, the player joins forces with a cast of fan favorites from previous DRAGON QUEST titles, such as Alena, Bianca, and Yangus, to bring the rampaging monster hordes back to their senses and restore order to the kingdom.

• Overcome hundreds of monsters - Take action against seemingly impossible odds and become the hero of the battlefield. Fight your way through relentless swarms of monsters and battle giant enemies in an epic clash between good and evil.
• Fight alongside legendary characters - Players can embark on a journey with some of the most beloved characters from the DRAGON QUEST series - all voiced - to form their own four-person party and jump into battle. From the sensual Maya of DRAGON QUEST IV fame to Yangus, the gold-hearted thief from DRAGON QUEST VIII, the player's party will always be full of character.
