Donkey Kong and his inseparable companion Diddy Kong are back to give you new action-packed adventures in Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, an improved version of the Wii adventure Donkey Kong Country Returns, made exclusively for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL!
Jump, run and roll through Donkey Kong Island to recover DK's beloved banana hoard, stolen by the evil Tiki Tak Tribe. Crush enemies, grab bunches of bananas, and ride rockets, rhinos, and more in a classic 2D platformer, full of spectacular scenes and treacherous traps. Use both characters' special abilities to overcome all kinds of obstacles and fully explore each level: put Diddy on DK's shoulders and use his Barrel Jet to help both of them cross large chasms, or roll to your heart's content and knock over every obstacle in your way.
Collect the many collectibles as you journey through the forest, beaches, and other exotic locations. Find the letters that spell K-O-N-G and locate the hidden puzzle pieces in each level to unlock extra content, such as the super difficult Trophy levels. Unlock and complete all these levels and discover the brand new surprise that awaits you!
Take on the entire game as the fantastic duo of DK and Diddy, teaming up with a friend in local wireless mode. Bombard opponents with Diddy's Peanut Popgun and soar through the air using his Barrel Jet, or subdue your opponents with Donkey Kong's Ground Pound. Our big guy can even do a Barrel Roll!
You can choose to relive the adventure exactly as you remember it in Original mode, but if the challenge is too difficult for you, help is at hand. A new mode makes things a little easier, giving Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong three hearts instead of the usual two, to extend the fun! Use your hard-earned Banana Coins to buy useful items at Cranky Kong's shop, and get new tools that will save you from falls, allow the Mine Cart and Rocket Barrel to go a second time, and even let you use a DK Barrel whenever you want.
