Death is not an escape.
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4 vs 1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the ferocious Killer and the other 4 play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured, and killed.
Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.
The Survivors' goal is to escape the hunting grounds without being caught by the Killer, which sounds easier than it actually is, especially when the scenario changes every time you play.
- Survive Together... or Not - Survivors can cooperate with others or play alone. Your chances of survival may vary depending on whether you collaborate with others or play alone. Will you be able to outsmart the Killer and escape the hunting grounds?
- Where Am I? - Each level is procedurally generated, so you'll never know what awaits you. Random spawn points will never make you feel safe, because the environment and the danger associated with it change every time you play.
- A Feast for Killers - Dead by Daylight draws inspiration from all corners of the horror world. As the Killer, you can play as anything you want, from a powerful Slasher to terrifying paranormal entities. Familiarize yourself with your hunting grounds and learn to master each Killer's special powers to hunt, capture, and sacrifice your victims.
- Deeper and Deeper - Each Killer and Survivor has their own deep progression system and a variety of unlockable elements that can be customized to fit their personal strategy. Experience, skill, and environmental awareness are key to hunting or outsmarting the Killer.
- Real People, Real Fear - Procedural levels and human reactions to pure horror make every game session an unexpected scenario. You will never be able to tell how it will end. The atmosphere, music, and chilling scenarios combine into a terrifying experience. Given enough time, you might even discover what lurks in the fog.
