Fight against massive battalions of tanks, fast INKT pilots, and elite Inky soldiers in your mission to free the citizens of Chroma City. Avoid hot plates, electric shocks, and ink turrets to create your own path to the impenetrable INKT fortress. Just remember that the fight to reclaim Chroma City must be fought on your terms. Remix the city in your image using custom colors, patterns, and soundtracks. Super-size your blob to attack bigger and stronger enemies. Join the color revolutionaries to hone your skills as you make a mess. The race to save Chroma City has just begun, and only de Blob can save the world from a black-and-white future.
Gameplay: Primary Objective
de Blob is a 3D platformer where players use the Wii Remote/Nunchuck combination to maneuver their hero, de Blob. An amorphous blob of paint in equal parts, struggling artist, revolutionary, and juvenile delinquent, de Blob's goal is to replace the dull, lifeless grey coloration that the INKT Corporation has imposed on Chroma City and its inhabitants, the Raydians, with a range of vibrant, life-giving colors, while avoiding and fighting the grey-clad forces of the Inkies.
Players must acquire paint and hurl de Blob at buildings, walls, statues, streets, and the skies above Chroma City. As de Blob bounces around, adding color wherever he lands, his paint supply dwindles and begins to dry up. When this happens, players must collect more paint and rehydrate in pools and in front of fire hydrants scattered around the city. Early in the game, access is limited to red, blue, and yellow, but these can be mixed to create a host of other colors. Being able to create and apply these colors becomes important as Chroma City and its inhabitants come to life, and de Blob comes into contact with a host of other characters known as "Color Revolutionaries" and receives an increasing number of missions charging him with splashing color throughout the city.
