ASTRAL CHAIN™, a new action game from PlatinumGames, will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch! As a member of a special police unit, you will have to fight mysterious alien-looking creatures.
In Ark, a multicultural city in the not-too-distant future, portals to another dimension have suddenly appeared. Dangerous creatures have emerged from them, attacking inhabitants and polluting the land. The regular police forces are helpless: it will be up to a special unit, called Neuron, to confront the threat.
In the game, you will find two playable characters: a boy and a girl. You will have to choose one of them and the other, your younger twin, will accompany you on your adventure as a member of Neuron.
To oppose the mysterious creatures, humanity has developed a special weapon: Legion. Legion is your companion and helps you in investigations. However, it is in combat that it truly proves its usefulness...
Join forces with Legion against enemies. You can attack the same target simultaneously or select different enemies. If you prefer, you can also send Legion to attack while you assist it with various tools from the rear. Use this synergistic action system to fight and explore with Legion!
The concept and planning of ASTRAL CHAIN were handled by Takahisa Taura, the game designer of Nier:Automata, making his debut as director. Hideki Kamiya, the creator of the Bayonetta series, is overseeing the project. The character design is entrusted to manga artist Masakazu Katsura, creator of ZETMAN and Video Girl Ai.
