Amiibo figurines represent an entirely new way to interact with your favorite Nintendo characters and games.
These figurines have a special built-in chip that utilizes NFC communication technology.
By touching the NFC sensor of the Wii U GamePad, or the dedicated accessory for Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS, with a figurine while playing certain titles, the data on the chip will be automatically transferred to the game, allowing the character to appear on screen, for example. During gameplay, the data on your figurine will also be updated, so by continuing to play, you can make your amiibo truly unique!
