Alan Wake Remastered PS5 Video Game PlayStation 5 Italian New Sealed Game

Alan Wake, a successful writer, wakes up after a car crash. It's night. He finds himself in a primeval forest, just outside the small town of Bright Falls, Washington. Wake hit his head. He doesn't remember what happened in the last week. His wife, the photographer Alice, has disappeared. The couple had come to idyllic Bright Falls to recover from the pressures of their celebrity life in New York. Wake hasn't been able to write anything for a long time. Their relationship has seen better days. Now Wake finds a page from a novel that he seems to have written, although he doesn't remember ever doing so. The story is called "Departure". It's a horror story. And he's the protagonist. In the story, Bright Falls is invaded by a Dark Presence. The story is coming true. The locals, possessed by a supernatural darkness, chase Wake through the forest. As his journey takes him deeper into the darkness of the night, Wake tries to cling to what's left of his sanity, to find an answer to the nightmarish mystery he faces. Using the light from his flashlight as a weapon, he is forced to fight for his life, and for Alice's.

Technical Matters

There are many subtle graphical details in Alan Wake, now enhanced by the power of the new PlayStation consoles. On PlayStation 5, the game runs at 4K and 60fps. PlayStation 4 Pro offers a choice between Performance mode (60fps) and Quality mode (4K at 30fps), while the PS4 version runs at 30fps. We spent a lot of time optimizing the game for each platform, to offer the best possible experience. Furthermore, every weapon Alan uses feels unique, thanks to the adaptive triggers of the wireless controller that respond differently depending on the weapon held, from the revolver to the flare gun. There are also activity cards for each episode and mission in the game.

 

Our hero's model has been recreated from scratch.

Many of the original Alan Wake developers, myself included, were involved in this remaster. More than anything, we wanted to preserve Alan Wake's unique identity and visual style, while enhancing the graphics to meet the expectations of today's players. Almost everything from the original game has been touched up: tons of individual elements, such as environmental scenes, objects, textures, sound effects, and the user interface. As a very important element in creating the game's unsettling atmosphere, we had an entire team working to ensure that the trees and foliage looked as good as possible.

It's all connected

Some of you met Alan Wake in Control's AWE expansion, another game set in the Remedy Connected Universe. On that occasion, we shed some light on Wake and his mystery in the dark depths. We learned that the strange events in Alan Wake were investigated by the Federal Bureau of Control as an "Altered World Event"—a crisis caused by dangerous supernatural forces making their way into our reality. This is how the story of Alan Wake was perceived in the story of Control. Both Control and Alan Wake exist in the same world, and the events of one story connect to the other. Now we have brought the writer's origin story to a new generation of brave players.
