ASA offers many similar advantages to ABS, but without some of its disadvantages.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe most important characteristics are strength, rigidity, extreme resistance to chemical exposure and heat. It was designed primarily for professional use. Most often, it is used for making prototypes that need to withstand higher temperatures and be UV resistant. Finished products made with ASA filament are very durable and impact resistant. They can be exposed to sun and heat and generally do not deform or change color. For example, 3D prints made with ABS filament are more delicate relative to sun exposure and tend to deteriorate and yellow if left outdoors.
